This fun-loving couple was a true delight to work with, there was never a moment when they were not making each other smile. Crysten and Sam married October 5, 2013 at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament. Crysten's beautiful, lace gown embraced their church ceremony with a sweeping cathedral train. Following the ceremony, the wedding party took photos at iconic downtown locations, as The Citizen Hotel welcomed the couple's 130 guests with a Cocktail Hour in our Scandal Lounge.
After some passed hors d'oeuvres and libations, guests were invited up to the Metropolitan Terrace. Lora Ward with A Day to Remember helped to design an evening of elegance and beauty that personified this gorgeous couple. The room had a foundation of earth-tones and nature, and the centerpieces added a vibrancy with an abundance of orchids and petals. I might be bias, as orchids are my favorite flower, but their ability to add an exotic and romantic atmosphere always impresses me. The nature motif carried through to the entryway, where guests could "leaf" their thumbprint on an exquisitely drawn tree. After the wedding party's grand entrance, the couple shared their first dance as husband and wife. Precious moments continued through the night with their toasts, bouquet and garter toss, and their delicious (red velvet!) cake cutting. All that was left to do for these guests was to savor and celebrate this magical evening on the dance floor!
Thank you to Phillip Alan Films for sharing this video with us! It is always a treat to witness a couple's day first hand, especially with words as beautiful as this one. Enjoy!
