If you are living in the Sacramento area, you are most likely reaching for a refreshing iced tea at the moment instead of a steaming cup of coffee, but winter is still making its presence known (East Coast we're talking to you). This next featured wedding is an elegant combination of winter and summer - where white winter roses meet warm blushing colors...perfect for a day like today!
This fun-loving couple was a joy to be around - always making me laugh and the love they shared for each other was truly an inspiration - and of course it was no different on their special day. Sara and Jeff married on November 23, 2013 in our Plaza Park Ballroom. The bride had a vision of color, texture, and romance, which could be seen in the rose colored sequin linen, the gold and lace patterned programs, and the flame-less candles down the aisle that set the tone. Nearly 100 guests witnessed this couple say their "I Do's" and then proceeded to our Scandal Lounge for Cocktail Hour.
Cocktail Hour concluded after a sampling of hors d'oeuvres and beverages and guests moved up to the Metropolitan Terrace for the Reception. There, the decor perfectly represented the couple's creative and romantic style. The room was a medley of blush and cream, sequin and satin, rosette and lace. Sara knew from the beginning that she did not want to commit to just one color or texture, and her gorgeous design proves that you do not have to! Even the stunning wedding cake wove together numerous patterns and designs. The evening continued with dinner and dancing, that sensational cake, and, much to everyone's enjoyment, karaoke! To top it all off, this gleeful group ended the night with an onsite after party complete with Citizen Sliders, a Corn Chip Station, and Citizen Cookies and Confections (mini s'mores anyone?). This wedding shows how rewarding it can be not to be afraid to play around with textures, to mix and match colors regardless of the season, and maybe at the end of the day, to sing your heart out with one you love!
